Team Scout is a modern platform for youth sports programs — communications, websites, merch stores, and everything a team needs to run. We started because the existing tools felt like they were built for administrators, not families. We're fixing that.
Our Mission
Every youth sports program deserves tools that work as hard as its coaches, parents, and players do. We build software that makes the moments between the games — announcements, photos, schedules, check-ins — feel simple and joyful instead of chaotic.
We serve homeschool, private, club, and community youth sports organizations. No ads. No selling data. No pretending a spreadsheet is an experience. Just tools that work, built by people who have actually worked the concession stand.
Our Founder
Peter McClung
Founder & CEO
Peter is the founder of Team Scout. He has spent 30+ years founding companies, producing media, and building software that connects people. Team Scout is his fifth founded venture.
Before Team Scout, Peter founded The Jump, a social platform built around communities (raised $7M). He founded Creatorspace, a marketplace connecting agencies and brands with creators. He served as Executive Producer of Gutted, a competition entertainment series. He ran Welcome to Seven, a brand strategy agency whose largest engagement was a $3M contract.
Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at Fortune 100 companies: VP of Strategy & Product at UnitedHealth Group, Director of Strategic Marketing at Novartis, and Director of Global Product & Marketing at BASF.
Peter has served on the board of directors of AIR T, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRT) since 2017, when he was elected by shareholders. He chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Audit and Nomination Committees, overseeing governance for a diversified aviation holding company with 15 portfolio companies and 1,600+ employees.
Peter also founded and maintains homeschoolsport.org, a resource for the homeschool athletics community — the same audience Team Scout was built to serve.

How we build
Our platform runs on SOC 2 infrastructure with 256-bit SSL encryption and is COPPA-compliant. We never sell data and never show ads.
