Getting Started

To join Team Scout, you'll need an invitation code from an existing member or organization admin. Enter your code on the welcome screen, then sign in with your phone number. We'll send you a verification code via text to confirm it's you.

After signing in for the first time, you'll be guided through a quick profile setup. Add your name, a profile photo, and a short bio. You can always update these later from your profile settings.

Tap your profile icon, then tap Edit Profile. From there, tap your current photo to upload a new one from your camera roll or take a fresh picture.

Team Scout is currently available on iPhone, with Android support coming soon. You can also access your account through the web at app.teamscout.co.

Team Scout uses phone-based sign-in instead of passwords. Just enter your phone number and we'll text you a fresh verification code every time you sign in. No passwords to remember or reset.

Groups & Organizations

From the Groups tab, tap the + button to create a new group. Give it a name, pick a sport, and customize it with your team colors and logo. Your group is ready to go in under a minute.

Open your group settings and tap Invite Members. You can share a unique invite link or QR code via text, email, or any messaging app. Members join instantly when they tap the link.

A group is a single team — like your 7th grade football squad. An organization is the umbrella that manages multiple groups — like your homeschool athletic program. Organizations unlock admin tools, financials, and cross-team communication.

Group admins can assign roles from the Members section. Tap any member's name, then choose their role. Roles determine what someone can see and do — coaches get full access, parents see schedules and updates, and players get the essentials.

Absolutely. If you're part of an organization, you can switch between groups from the Hub. Each group has its own feed, roster, and schedule, but organization-level announcements reach everyone at once.

Feed & Communication

The feed is your group's home base. Coaches and admins can post updates, announcements, photos, and videos. Members can react, comment, and stay in the loop — all in one place.

Tap the compose button at the bottom of your feed. Write your message, attach photos or videos if you'd like, and hit post. You can also tag it as an announcement to make sure it stands out.

Yes — you can attach multiple photos and videos to any post. They'll display in a clean gallery that members can tap through. Great for game highlights, practice clips, and team moments.

Go to the Messages tab and tap the compose icon to start a new conversation. You can message any member of your group directly, or create a group chat with multiple people.

You'll get push notifications for things that matter — new posts in your group, direct messages, event reminders, and mentions. You can fine-tune what you receive in your notification settings.

Events & Scheduling

From your group, tap the Events tab and hit + to create a new event. Set the type (practice, game, meeting, etc.), add the date, time, and location, and your group will be notified automatically.

When an event is posted, every member can respond with Yes, No, or Maybe. Coaches and admins see a real-time headcount so they always know who's showing up.

Yes. The calendar view shows every upcoming event across all your groups in one place. You can filter by group if you need to focus on just one team's schedule.

Coaches can mark attendance during or after any event. Over time, you'll see attendance patterns that help with planning. Members can also check in themselves when they arrive.

Account & Settings

Go to your profile, then tap Settings and choose Notifications. You can toggle notifications on or off for each type — posts, messages, events, mentions, and more.

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You'll have a 30-day grace period to change your mind. After that, your data is permanently removed. You can also request deletion by emailing support@teamscout.co.

Tap the three-dot menu on any post or message and select Report. Choose a reason and submit. Our moderation team reviews every report and takes action to keep the community safe.

Visit the person's profile and tap the three-dot menu, then select Block. They won't be able to message you or see your activity. You can manage your blocked list from your profile settings.

Your privacy is a priority. Team Scout uses industry-standard encryption, and your personal data is never sold or shared with advertisers. Only members of your groups can see your group activity. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
